Building Automation Training | CEO, BAM
Location: Burlington, WI
After leaving the Navy in 2007, Phil pursued a career in Building Automation. While working a full-time job and raising a family, he also pursued a dual-track degree program obtaining his MS in Information Systems and Information Assurance.
In his various roles as controls technician, programmer, systems integrator, and ultimately the Technical Systems Integration Program Manager at Johnson Controls overseeing a $200MM business unit, he realized the role he loved the most was technical training.
Today, Phil is the CEO of Building Automation Monthly (BAM), the fastest growing provider of Building Automation Training in the world. Phil has an extensive background in systems integration, cybersecurity, architecture, BAS installation and service, sales, and operations. Throughout his career he’s done a fair bit of everything.
Phil has been published in the ASHRAE Journal, is the author of Building Automation Systems A to Z, the voice behind 180+ episodes of the Building Automation Monthly Podcast, and the creator of 11 online training courses. Outside of his time as a business leader, Phil likes to read and spend time with his wife and three young children.
